LESLYE B. DAVIDSON, Patent, Trademark and Copyright Attorney, received her B.S. in Pharmacy from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy in 1987 where she was awarded the Ernest Little Alumni Award for scholarship and leadership, and was inducted into both the Rho Chi Honor Society and the Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership and received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 1990. While at NYC School of Law, Ms. Davidson was a staff member of the Annual Survey of American Law and received the MOOT Court Advocacy Award for the 1990 Spring Open Moot Court Competition. She graduated with high honors from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and presented her honors thesis on "The Sale of Tobacco Products in Retail Pharmacies" at a podium presentation at the annual meeting of the American Pharmaceutical Association. The results of this thesis also were presented at the 6 th World Conference on Smoking and Health in Tokyo, Japan.

Ms. Davidson is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars, is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, she is a member of the International Trademark Association, the New York Woman's Bar Association and the Healthcare Businesswoman's Association, and is a Registered Pharmacist in the state of New Jersey. Ms. Davidson was an associate attorney at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Kenyon & Kenyon.

Ms. Davidson has a broad background in many aspects of the protection of intellectual property, including expertise in matters relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights and food and drug law. Her experience ranges from the counseling of clients regarding selection and securing intellectual property rights, to litigation, due diligence and licensing matters.

Ms. Davidson has extensive experience in all phases of U.S. and foreign trademark practice, including prosecution, licensing, due diligence and litigation (including "ex parte" and "inter partes" trademark proceedings) and devotes particular attention to assisting clients in planning their trademark portfolios and protecting those rights. Ms. Davidson has worked with clients from a broad range of industries, and has particular expertise in advising clients and prosecuting trademarks in pharmaceutical and internet and e-commerce arenas.

With regard to patents, Ms. Davidson is experienced in the U.S. and foreign prosecution of patents, particularly in pharmaceutical formulations and medical treatments, including related opinion work. Ms. Davidson has significant experience in transactional work, including the drafting and negotiation of patent licenses and due diligence for the acquisition of patent rights. Her representation of clients also has included the developing and managing of patent documents for a wide variety of clients, from start up companies to large corporations. In addition, Ms. Davidson has participated in numerous patent litigations, many of which concerned genericpharmaceutical formulations and the interface between patent law and food and drug law.

Ms. Davidson co-authored an article in 1991 which was published in the National Law Journal, entitled "Nutrition Labeling on Products Must Comply With New Statute" and also co-authored a quarterly column in the New York State Bar Association Food, Drug, Cosmetic and Medical Device Law Digest.
