Roberta Day GermanScientific Advisor, New York Office
Roberta Day German is a registered patent agent, specializing in biotechnology patent protection since 1998. She is experienced in drafting and prosecuting biotechnology patent applications for U.S., PCT and non-PCT patent offices. Her biotechnology specialties include: recombinant DNA technology, genomics, cancer and disease therapeutics, immuno-therapeutics, gene therapy, drug screening assays, stem cells, and bio-tissue engineering. She is also an active member of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. Ms. German's scientific expertise spans 13 years of laboratory research in both industry and academic environments. She has previously worked as a research fellow at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she fine mapped human chromosome 21 as part of the Human Genome Mapping Project. She has conducted research at International Plant Research, Incorporated, known for pioneering research in agricultural plant biotechnology. Ms. German has also conducted research at Phytogen, Incorporated, a start-up biotechnology company associated with California Institute of Technology. Ms. German received her Bachelor of Science in 1981, majoring in Genetics, from the University of California Davis, and her graduate degrees in Molecular Biology/Genetics in 1990 from the University of California, Los Angeles. |
