Roman TsibulevskiyAssociate, New York Office
Roman Tsibulevskiy joined Davidson, Davidson & Kappel, LLC as an associate in 2008. Mr. Tsibulevskiy focuses his intellectual property practice on patent prosecution and client counseling. His patent prosecution experience covers a broad range of technologies in mechanical and electrical arts. Mr. Tsibulevskiy received his law degree from Touro Law School in 2007, where he received a CALI Award for Academic Excellence (highest grade in class) in Patent Practice and was the co-founding president of the Intellectual Property Society. While at law school, Mr. Tsibulevskiy was the first student ever to address the Nassau County Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee on various legal topics, including presentations on antitrust concerns arising from patent tying arrangements and on the availability of injunctive relief in copyright and patent infringement suits. During his last year of law school, Mr. Tsibulevskiy served as a judicial intern to Honorable Leonard D. Wexler of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York where he conducted legal research and participated in drafting of opinions such as Predun v. Shoreham-Wading River School District, 489 F.Supp.2d 223 (E.D.N.Y. 2007). Mr. Tsibulevskiy was also a legal intern at Canon USA, Inc. Mr. Tsibulevskiy received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Yeshiva University in 2003. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Tsibulevskiy gained business and technical experience as a Web Designer/Database Administrator for Yeshiva University and as a co-founder of a computer consulting business. Mr. Tsibulevskiy was also an intern at UBS. From his work experience, Mr. Tsibulevskiy is familiar with several computer languages, including Java, Perl, HTML and C++. Mr. Tsibulevskiy is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the State Bars of New York and New Jersey. Mr. Tsibulevskiy is fluent in Russian and Hebrew. |
